Feel Good Festival Returns to Hampton Court Palace

Hampton Court Palace’s Feel Good Festival is back for another year, giving guests the chance to discover a new hobby, learn something new, or just enjoy a tasty meal in the Tudor gardens.

One of the festival’s focal points is joyfulness, with the aptly named Joyfulness Talks Stage boasting a packed agenda of chats about how you can feel better in your day-to-day life. Chris Baber is just one of the experts confirmed for the stage and will explain how what you eat can influence your emotions – and how to cook for happiness.

On the subject of food, you certainly won’t go hungry over the weekend. Street food vendors will be set up across the site – and don’t worry, it’s not just lettuce and quinoa. There are far more interesting and tasty ways to eat well, with last year seeing bao, falafel wraps, pizza, and filo quiches on offer.

Well-being is a buzzword that has come to encompass many things. At the festival, there are many opportunities to discover what it means to you. Workshops in arts and crafts, mindfulness, fitness, and journaling are on the schedule, and more biology-focused guests will be able to visit the London House of Wellbeing’s pop-up clinic to take a number of health screening tests and receive expert advice. For younger visitors and families, LEGO’s Creation Station will cheer up anyone needing a break.

Independent vendors at the artisan market are on hand to provide accessories and supplements to keep your mood up, from dopamine-boosting jewellery to luxury moisturisers and upmarket vitamins.

It’s always hard to feel down in the Hampton Court Palace gardens, and fingers crossed that the mid-May weather will add some extra vitamin D to the weekend.

The Feel Good Festival is running from 16-18 May. Tickets are available here.
